Meet Shambhavi for a free range satsang and open mic kirtan jam. Satsang is a lively, ancient spiritual practice from India. People gather with a teacher and engage in a relaxed, 'anything goes' conversation about the nature of reality, self-realization, spiritual life, and all aspects of human experience.
At sansang, Shambhavi gives a dharma talk and then leads a free-flowing conversation about anything. Sometimes we do a short, guided practice such as mantra chanting or a meditation. The conversation is followed by open-mic, community kirtan jam.
Kirtan is call and response singing accompanied by harmonium, drums, bells, and other instruments people bring. Anyone can lead the singing. Any style is welcome. Shambhavi will supply a harmonium. Feel free to bring whatever instrument you like to play, or just bring yourself.
